SB 416 - This act requires employers employing children to
record the child's name, address, age, time and hour worked, and
to keep such records for two years. Records are confidential and
releasable only upon court order. When the Director brings a
civil action against an employer to enforce child labor laws, the
Director may consider the size of the business and the absence of
enumerated aggravating factors in determining what amount of
civil damages is appropriate to request. This act also makes
technical changes to existing child labor laws.
